This sounds just like the ConocoPhillips road show, same points, same trajectory... but ConocoPhillips is both petroleum and electricity.

I've been to the ConocoPhillips meetings in Rochester, MN and Wilmington, DE. At the DE one, seems they were hard pressed for panelists. Before that meeting, the pre-meeting one with CP's CEO Jim Mulva and a small group seemed to be orchestrated by the DE Petroleum Council lobbyist, he was at Mulva's right side and hustled him off for a meeting with the Gov. Remember, Conoco Phillips is a leader in development of the crashing in flames IGCC technology. They're the provider for Excelsior's Mesaba Project, the coal gasification proposed for northern MN that the Administrative Law Judges recommended be denied. It goes to the MN PUC next week.

Here're a couple of my ConocoPhillips posts:
legalectric.org/weblog/1767/
www.legalectric.org/weblog/1760/
www.legalectric.org/weblog/1629/
www.legalectric.org/weblog/1626/

There are other ways to generate baseload. MN chose wind with hydro backup, DE chose wind with gas backup.

Petroleum is a whole 'nother thing entirely...
